I was raised on Salt Spring Island and moved to Victoria during my post-secondary education. While I live and work in the city of Victoria, situated within the unceded traditional territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən-speaking and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples, I maintain a strong connection to Salt Spring Island and spend time there whenever I can.
I obtained a bachelor of science in nursing with distinction from the University of Victoria and practiced as a registered nurse in the area of mental health and substance use services for a number of years before returning to the University of Victoria to obtain my law degree.
After successfully completing my Juris Doctor degree, I articled and subsequently practiced in a local Victoria law firm. I had the opportunity to learn about a number of practice areas while exploring the type of law I would like to practice. After practicing primarily in litigation for the beginning of my career as a lawyer, I shifted to focusing on solicitor work.
In my leisure time I enjoy spending time in nature, with loved ones, and in quiet activities such as reading and crafting, preferably with our cats at my side.
