I was born in Washington, D.C., but raised in Victoria as a West Coaster. I had the opportunity to return to the United States to attend the University of Washington in Seattle. There, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Geography, building on my love for maps and landscapes. After completing my Bachelor of Arts, I elected to return to Canada to obtain my law degree at the University of Victoria with a Concentration in Environmental Law and Sustainability. While at UVIC I also served on the Environmental Law Centre Society as the Student Chair of the Board; where we worked with non-profit groups and First Nations to find solutions for their environmental law issues.
I articled and practiced at a boutique firm in Victoria, where I developed skills and experience in commercial development, residential real estate and corporate matters. At Sitka Law Group, I continue to serve my clients in these areas, and have broadened my practice area to include wills and estate planning in order to assist my clients with all their legal needs. Since joining Sitka, my practice also includes working on personal injury matters such as motor vehicle insurance defence and helping clients navigate occupier’s liability situations.
When it’s not raining, I enjoy getting outdoors in our beautiful city. You can find me playing tennis, bike riding and practicing my skills in landscape photography. I also strive to give back to the community; presently I sit on the Board of the Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters Victoria Capital Region.
