Originally from Atlantic Canada, I have proudly called Victoria my home for more than 25 years.
I focus my practice on estate planning, estate administration, incapacity planning and real estate conveyancing. Upon being called to the Bar, I worked for 8 years in a downtown Victoria law firm practicing in the areas of wills and estates, incapacity planning, real estate conveyancing and family law. Most recently, I spent 8 years as legal counsel within the BC Ministry of Attorney General advising the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General on policing matters. While I was privileged and grateful to work in the public service, I was drawn back to private practice by the opportunity to work closely with and assist people with issues that matter greatly to them, and to their families.
Prior to my career in law, I served as a reserve officer in the Royal Canadian Navy, both as a leadership instructor and aquatics officer for the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Program. When not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my busy family, running the trails and roads, visiting Victoria’s many outstanding restaurants, and reading the occasional true crime novel.
