I am so excited to have joined Sitka Law Group as an Associate. I moved to Victoria after practicing law in Edmonton, Alberta. I started my legal career as an Articling Student practicing poverty law with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre. After completing my articles, I moved to New York City to work for the United Nations in the Office of Rule of Law Institutions where I focused on international policy development and research. I then moved back to Edmonton where I worked with a mid-sized firm as an Associate Lawyer, where I worked in the areas of corporate law, wills and estates, charity and non-profit law, and human rights.
Before jumping head-first into law, I graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta with my Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and English Literature. I then gave my degree some experience working in a political office as the Executive Assistant and the Research Assistant for a City Councillor, before returning to the University of Alberta to obtain my Juris Doctorate degree.
When I am not working, I have developed a well-deserved reputation as an enthusiastic participant in sports at which I have no skills, and spend my time singing karaoke, running, boxing, playing piano, and travelling as far and as often as I can.
